Step-by-Step Guide to Uni-Assist University
1. Searching for Universities
- Visit the Uni-Assist homepage.
- On the left side, click on "COURSE CATALOGUE."
- Enter your search criteria.
- Use the "Advanced search" option for more filters.
- Select the semester (winter or summer), university, and degree type (Bachelor or Master).
- Courses matching your criteria will appear on the right side.
- Click "show details" under a course name to see more information.
- To add a course to your selection list, click "select" at the right corner under the course name.
- Modify your search criteria to explore different universities and courses.
2. Viewing Selected Courses
- Click the floppy disc icon at the top right. The number of selected courses is shown in brackets next to the icon.
- "My Selection List" will display all selected courses.
- Each course will show the Uni-Assist handling fee.
- To remove a course, click "Remove."
3. Answering Additional Application-Related Questions
- Click "Show additional application-related questions."
- Answer questions about apprenticeships, work experience, and education in Germany, providing details for up to four instances. Leave blank if not applicable.
- Fill in details of studies, apprenticeships, and work experience outside Germany, including college education, internships, and work experience. School education details are not required.
- Provide information about all periods before applying, including any break periods by mentioning "no particular activity."
- If attaching a CV, this section can be left blank, but ensure your CV includes break periods.
- Click "Save" at the bottom.
- Some courses may have additional questions related to the degree or course of study. Fill in the relevant information if these tabs appear.
4. Verifying Documents
- Check if all required documents are uploaded.
- Click "My Applications" dropdown and select "Documents" to view uploaded files.
- Ensure that the Statement of Purpose (SOP) is tailored to each specific university. Additionally, make sure that all other documents uploaded are the correct ones.
5. Paying the Fee and Submitting the Application
- Go to the main page of your profile and click the floppy disc icon at the top right to view selected courses.
- The page will display course and Uni-Assist fee details.
- Fees will be debited from your credit card for all selected courses. If applying for one course at a time, temporarily remove others from the list.
- The fee is €75 for the first application and €30 for each additional application.
- Click "Choose payment option."
- Select "Credit card" as the payment method.
- Check the three boxes and click "To payment process."
- Enter credit card details and click "Pay.”
- Once payment is completed, you can submit your application.
- Read the notice, terms, and conditions, and click the "submit online" button.
- Click "print application" to generate a PDF of your university application.
- Print your application and all allocated documents.

- Click the "My Applications" dropdown and choose "Application Overview."
- All your chosen applications will be displayed.
